Dr. Jeannene Dieter was born and raised in NJ and went on to attend the Ohio State University in Columbus.  In 1987, she received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry ( now Salus University), achieving both academic and clinical honors.

 

Dr. Dieter completed an internship at the University of Melbourne in Australia, has done mission work outside the U.S. and has taught at the graduate level, internationally.

 

Before relocating to Florida, Dr. Dieter practiced in North Carolina and has both private practice and multi-disclipinary experience.  She joined the Sarasota Retina Institute in 2000 and currently provides the following services:

–comprehensive eye examinations

— refractions to determine a best eyeglass prescription

—  eye evaluations for patients taking high risk medications

— post-operative management of cataract surgery patients

–bandage, therapeutic and prosthetic contact lenses for patients with corneal disease, corneal scars, monocular double vision, iris

disorders, glare problems , dry eyes and eyelid abnormalities

–drivers license eye exams

–contact lens renewal examinations

 

For Dr. Dieter, communication is a sincere priority.  It is critically important that you get the time to get all questions and concerns addressed in an understandable manner.  Each patient deserves a clear understanding of all exam findings, diagnosis and recommendations.

 

Dr. Dieter is married and raising 2 sons.  She cherishes family time with her boys. When not working she spends her time taking them around to their various activities.
